Has anyone ever heard of this Crystal Wave Monitor and if it's worth $400 plus $99 after 1st year for sensors, etc... Seems too good to be true but was curious if others know about?

Never seen it mentioned, but every similar product ever discussed has been a bust.

I can't imagine a bigger ripoff. All it monitors is pH, orp and temperature. Of that, only pH is really useful for anything. What do you think this is going to do for you?

Just another thermometer, pH, and ORP meter, like almost all of the other monitors. Thermometer and pH meter probably works ok, ORP will be unreliable in the presence of CYA so it's really only useful for indoor pools.

Oh but they include a free bottle of test strips. Somehow that's still overpaying for them...

Thanks, I figured it and I use the drop testing just was trying to find that one magic "hey this will do it for me" thing....

That magical device already exists... it's a salt water chlorine generator.
Once your chlorine needs are being handled by the SWCG, you simply manage pH every week or so, and CYA every few months.
