Vevor is making temporary pool fence that are not too expensive. They sell it at home depot.
You drill 1/2 inch hole in the concrete and put a plastic sleeve. You juste slide the pole into the sleeve.

Then you would have to make sure the kool aid guy doesn't fall in the pool lol

I would worry about the wood breaking.

I probably would have gone with aluminum I beams or maybe titanium, tungsten or stainless steel.

DogAway2.0 was deployed successfully. I bought heavier weight snow fence and still broke a couple squares while zip tie-ing it on a windy day. I imagine I will be out there sewing it with string a bunch as it rips.
