Cracked diving board?

We bought a new home and redid the pool that was a swamp. Once we got it cleaned I bounced fairly hard on the board and heard a crack. I weigh about 185lb. Now it looks like the board slants to one side pretty hard. I was thinking about trying to brace it but not sure if it's worth even trying. This isn't the best pic but does this look savable. We've still been using it. My son only weighs 60lb and had no issues. I will still use it just don't try and bounce in it anymore. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciatedScreenshot_20220613-063624_Gallery.jpg

I don't have a diving board - but can't imagine that bracing a diving board is a great idea if there is a structural issue with it. Have you considered removing it? From your photo it doesn't look like it would be too difficult and may possibly lower your homeowners insurance rate. My guess is the diving board is old - I wouldn't be too hard on yourself for breaking it :)

If it lets go with someone on it, they may take a shot to the head on the coping, before landing in the pool. Besides looking like a scene from Jaws, you may have a disabled swimmer. The jagged edge won't play nice with your liner on the way down either.

It has to go. No question. Not leave it unused, but unbolted and gone.

On the plus side, a replacement should be easy to find with the modern style base.(y)

Diving boards usually have wood sandwiched inside between fiberglass. The wood degrades and sometimes gets wet if the fiberglass is cracked somewhere. For sure don't even think of using it it's toast.
