Concrete staining

My pool deck, which is really just a continuation of my patio, is a about 15 years old and we'd like to stain it to bring it back to life. I'm thinking about a translucent acid stain, but I dont want it to seal the concrete and make it potentially slippery.

Has anyone done this and do you have any suggestions or thoughts on doing this?

We recently used Dyco pool deck paint from Lowe's. It was thin like stain, but covered like paint. Washed with TSP first - then two coats. Really came out great for about $300 in paint and supplies.
