Any thoughts on this very expensive product? Pentra-Sil (244+)

Edit: I just realized that the mods moved my comment from another thread, to here in its own thread, a while back. Thank you!

Just for some background, we had about 900 sq ft of concrete poured about this time last year for our new pool deck and I notice that it's a little dusty these days. Slight foot marks tracked inside on flooring after walking on it, and when I go to get water samples for testing, the knees on my jeans are white with concrete dust. I think this is normal?

Was told by a supposedly knowledgeable person a while back that a sealer would be a good idea. And I do NOT want any peeling or any of that nonsense ever. I had come across this expensive stuff above which is supposed to penetrate or soak in and is supposedly a good product.

I enquired about sealer a while back and this one rose to the top of the list.

I applied it last year and it seems to be doing the job just fine.
They sell an expensive sprayer too, but I think it's worth it. Metal sprayer that puts out a nice consistent spray pattern.

I was just so done with everything home-related around this time last year. Work, family, life, etc., that instead of trusting myself and DIY, I got a pro painting company out to quote doing this for me to get it done and so I wouldn't have to worry about it.

I wanted to get a sealer that penetrated, specifically that Silane Siloxane stuff, rather than just a paint or concrete stain or whatever.

He briefly entertained my thought, said he'd ask his buddies, etc., etc., but then just quoted me the Sherwin Williams ColorTop product.

I researched and it seemed like a good product although definitely wasn't the stuff I had in mind. Finally pulled the trigger on that in November.

Well, wouldn't you know, the Sherwin Williams ColorTop is already peeling and flaking off after only 4 months. Ugh. Should have trusted my gut.

Well, that sucks. I'd contact the painting company and see what they have to say.
