Hello.
After only one year of use, I think the heating element in my new Raypak E3T 5.5kW is already dead. Didn't do any testing yet but I'm pretty sure the output water is the same temperature as the pool temperature (I compared pool temperature and temperature from the jets). I have a small 3000 gallons in-ground pool. I used to feel the heat of the output water when it was working. The model number of the official Raypak element is 017139F. According to this site, it looks like it's 250$ (canadian$). This is pretty ridiculously high. I know it's Titanium and all, but after only one year use, it's not acceptable.

I never let it run dry, always let it cool off after turning off and I enable my bypass, and I never let SLAM concentrations run through it (I always bypass it).
Does anyone know of a "compatible" model I could buy? Typical 5500W element can be 30$ and it's not that hard to replace... I know at that price it wouldn't be Titanium but still... as long as it's stainless (element AND screw-on head). I use liquid chlorine not salt.
Thanks!
