I just watched the video of you testing the voltage from the power board as well as the transformer trying to figure out why the breaker keeps tripping, and I’m getting zero voltage from either? What is that showing?

What video are your referring to?

Maybe start at the beginning and describe what device is having a problem and show us some pics of it.

I apologize it’s for my salt cell on not communicating nor does it have power,!the low voltage breaker keeps tripping with the cell plugged in or not plugged in! I tried testing voltage as shown in a video from power board as well as transformer and I’m receiving no voltage reading from either!

Bad,

I assume we are talking about an EasyTouch with a built-in power card for an IntelliChlor salt system.

The little card mounted on the back wall of the EasyTouch is called the Surge card and it takes 24 Volts AC from the SWCG transformer and converts it to about 35 volts DC that powers the salt cell.

If the little breaker pops, with the salt cell disconnected, that is a pretty good indication that the surge card is bad.

To confirm that, unplug the two small red wires (marked as AC) from the surge card and then see if the breaker no longer pops.

We have seen some bad surge cards that pop the breaker, but as a general rule the cell is also bad. The bad cell causes the surge card to go bad.

Just to make sure we are on the same page, here is a pic of my Surge card.

Thanks,

Jim R.
