The return of algae won't be a mechanical issue, although it is possible you need to run the pump just a bit longer for more water circulation. Don't worry so much about trying to match GPM to your pool or think about water turnover as that's not an issue. For many pools, just the simple movement of water to get the chlorine dispersed everywhere is most important, along with skimming the water's surface of course. It's been a while since I visited this thread, but make sure to go back and look at all the areas where you inspected last time. It's possible there's a patch hiding somewhere as well. Check behind the light (if there is a niche), ladders, in & under a main drain, etc.Now I'm just wondering if this is a pool equipment issue at this point... The pump runs daily from 5 am to 11 am, which should be plenty as far as I can tell with the GPM of the motor..
