Can I buy an intex pool without the included filter/pump?

Since I’m going to be upgrading to a much more powerful pump anyways, does intex allow the option to buy just the pool without the filter/pump it comes with so I’m not stuck with one I’m not going to use? Sorry if this is a dumb question. I’m new to all of this lol

Hello! I'm not aware of it since they typically sell their items as box/kits, but you may try contacting them directly to see if they have such an option. Just a thought.

I always see the whole package, so not sure if they offer that as an option. I upgraded my pump and filter too, and just stuck the one that came with the pool in my garage. I ended up making a pvc fountain for my pool and used the pump for that.

Like a lot of things, I bet even if you did find a location to buy without pump and filter, such as a replacement " pool" only, the cost would be higher, or only a few dollars less than all the items pre packaged.
Basically comes down to a custom order.

Manufacturers keep costs down by having less SKUs (Stock Keeping Units). Less combinations that they need to assemble, inventory, and ship.

I used the intex pump and cut off the cartridge and hooked it to a big sand filter. Has timer, us 1/2 hp so perfect for filtering. No power for vacuum.

Keep it for a backup, was my backup untill I find a different pump
