Broke return 3/4 pvc pipe from booster pump to pool return line. What kind of fitting do I need and what kind of pipe is this?

I broke the 3/4 inch pvc pipe that returns from the booster pump to the pool. Normally I would have just cut the end off and then reattached the plumbing with I guess an adatper? The end of this pipe looks flared. How to I go about re-plumbing this? Do I cut below the flair and then just put a coupling and start from there?

Cut/file the broken pipe flush with the top of the reducer, then use a 3/4" socket saver (see below) to remove the old pipe. Then you can just plumb to the existing fitting.

Cut the 2" pipe below the fitting, glue on a 2" coupler, then this into the coupler (2"S x 3/4"FIP bushing):
