Is a colored bubble solar cover better at heating a pool than transparent?

Not really.
A solar cover is better at retaining the water temp overnight than it is at heating up the water during the day.

That being said, I prefer the look of the blue solar cover on the pool rather than clear.

+1. I had the 'clear' cover which was really opaque white. It performed no miracles as they said, and it was hideous. Blue will at least fool your eyes when not staring directly at it.

I only have a solar heater on my roof in the seattle area. I tried the clear once. I didn't notice temp differences, but I did notice how dirty and ugly it looked. Went back to blue
