I am about to get a fiberglass pool installed in NY. I have mainly everything pentair. I am tech guy so automation was very important for so I got the intellicenter. I have Pentair cartridge filter 520 clean and clear cartridge filter. I was told to get a UV sanitizer and have the Delta UV system already in a box in my house. I just found out about Pentair's Bioshield UV system. I am now confused on what to do now. Should I return the Delta UV and buy BioShield or just stay with Delta? Does bioshield sync with intellicenter, and if so does it matter at all with a UV sanitizer I should go with?

Is your pool indoors or outdoors? If outdoors, I prefer the sun. Return and buy neither. Save your money.
Agree with above, no need to install either. The sun provides enough UV to burn off chlorination byproducts and the concept of sanitizing water with UV-C would require far more powerful units than are sold for residential pools.

Return! These do nothing in an outdoor pool. And the bulb will need to be replaced in under a year.
Return it. You do not need it with an outdoor pool. I’ve looked into them when I built my pool seven years ago. When I realized they were useless on an outdoor pool I used that money to upgrade my lights to color LED lights.
