Best SWG for Above Ground Pool?

Hi, I'm looking at getting a SWG for my pool this year. Are there recommendations for systems for my type of pool? I'd definitely like one that I can control via an app on my phone - my parents have that with their Kayak.

Thank you in advance!
Stephanie

I'm not against toys. I love em, in fact. :)

I'm just pointing out that in order to know how to adjust the SWG at any moment, you need to go test the water. At that point, pressing a button once or twice on the equipment is no major inconvenience.

For reference, I got 4 to 6 weeks between button pushes at my old place, and 8 to 12 weeks at the new place. Once you're dialed in for that point in the season, adjustments are infrequent.

Yes, where I totally understand this.....I go on vacation too and do not want to inconvenience anyone to take care of things when I can control it from my phone.

You want one rated for 2x’s your pool’s volume so it doesn’t need to run 24/7 to provide enough fc.
If your pool is hard piped with pvc already you can pretty much select any type you want.
Otherwise you may need to do a little plumbing to place the cell & flow switch or go with a return jet option like the aquatrol AJ linked.
You need a timer that ensures the swcg doesn’t operate when the pump is off.
The aquatrol has this built in.
Changing the % if the cell & runtime of the pump isn’t really something that occurs that often once you know what you need for the season you’re in.

Me too - however simply running things on their normal schedule for the time of year and raising fc to @/near slam level before leaving has always been sufficient for up to 7 days incase power failure or something occurs. Unfortunately, There’s no app that will dump your skimmer or get a limb out.
Adding fc via a swcg isn’t instant so changes on the fly really aren’t all that helpful.
Having a cam on my pool & equipment to keep watch so reinforcements can be called in if needed & having remote control of my pool cleaner however is quite clutch.
