Afternoon TFPers,
I'm in the marketplace for a new pool net as my Purity Pool PCSLT pelican featherweight from 3/14 is starting to get some holes in the netting. It's about $36 now, whereas when I purchased it I got a great deal at $19.50. This model was a replacement for the net that was here when I purchased our home, which was horrible as it too had holes and the netting was not as fine.

I thought about re-purchasing the same model, but I have searched around for others. I'm partly leaning toward some of the other models below that have guarantees/warranties. Not sure how well they will be honored if the netting develops holes over the years, but that's a nice piece of mind if since they are selling for $36 - 46.

Here are the ones I have been looking at. If anyone has experience with any of these, or thinks they have a best model, please let me know. I get a combination of debris ranging from pine needles to fine debris/bugs. I always assumed that the finer netting was a better all-around net versus the larger; it seems to have worked thus far at least.

In advance, thanks for your help.

When they say warranty do they include the netting or just the hard parts? That would be my deciding factor. I leave mine out by the pool 24/7 so we can just grab it as needed. At most they last for a season or two so I only get the cheap ones now as the netting never last as long as the frame

Before you buy on Amazon, have you checked the nets sold at Home Depot and Lowes? I don't have experience with the nets you listed but I do recall that I researched it a bit last year when my net needed replacing (since I buy almost everything on Amazon) and I found that the nets sold by Home Depot and Lowes were larger, cheaper and still decent quality.

The quality of the stuff from Lowe's or Home Depot just can't compare to what I listed. My purity pelican model has pretty much lasted three years and still works despite a couple very small holes. I'm not in a rush to purchase a replacement just yet, but I am prepared.

I do like the fine mesh of the net I have currently. It catches big stuff as well as the very small fine stuff. But I question if, for instance, the ProTuff with the medium fine mesh would work good enough.

The ProTuff is awesome. All the others I listed even the fibroPro are about the same price. For a no holds bar, no questions asked warranty, it seems worth it to pay for the ProTuff. To compare warranties, the FibroPro just covers manufacturing defects. It is the ProTuff model that is a no questions warranty, forever.

As for the ProTuff, I've noticed they have a silt model as well. The one I listed above is the one with the medium fine mesh, and then the other one has a fine mesh for salt and sand. Going to have to compare the two and think about it.
