Bead lock wedge keeps coming out

Hello, TFP peeps,

I had a new liner put in my inground pool last year and the installer put in a strip of bead lock wedge. That strip of bead lock wedge keeps coming out. The liner has not come out of track yet, but I'm worried that without that strip of bead lock wedge that I run a greater risk of it doing that. We have only owned the house for 2 years, so I don't know what type of bead the coping has.

Am I worrying about nothing or do I need to find a way to get that bead lock wedge to stay in there? If so, what is the best way to do that? I have tried using a tool that one would use to put in a bead around a replacement screen like on a window or door and that didn't work.

It's an elongated octagon shaped pool and it started in one of the corners and now is almost all the way out.

Thanks for any help.

Just my opinions from my experience... if the liner stays in without the linerlock, then you probably don't need it anyway. It's not the end of the world if the liner comes out of the track in places, just work it back in with your hands (no tools). Shorter lengths of linerlock vs 1 continuous run all the way around the pool is better in my opinion, as it will stop pulling out at the end of the section. Sometimes I have had to take a hammer and gently tap the linerlock in to get it to bite, but that's at your own risk as you could damage the track.
