I reached out to the company to see if I could get the Black Friday price still. They said they would adjust the cost when I placed the order… we shall see. Placing the order now.
Thanks so much for all the advice! After comparing options, I ended up getting the Beatbot AquaSense Pro on Black Friday—it was a pretty sweet deal compared to the regular price. Now I’m just waiting for it to arrive, and I’m hoping my mom will love it as a Christmas gift! Still a little unsure though—has anyone here used this? How’s the cleaning performance? And is it hard to lift out of the water, or does it take a lot of effort?

I've noticed that Beatbot recently released a new product, the AquaSense 2 Ultra, and it comes with some advanced AI features. It seems like an upgraded version of the AquaSense Pro.
I’ve been reading this thread because I’ve been thinking about switching from my now old Polaris standard cleaner (connected in pool and runs with pool controls) to a remote cleaner. From what I’ve read it sounds like most of these remote cleaners have a plug-in electric supply. Of course that makes me a bit nervous. Aren’t there some with rechargeable batteries? If so, are they super expensive?
There are cordless robots with their own caveats. You have to go fishing to retrieve them and the batteries are expensive to replace every couple of years. They might last longer for you with a long season, but I'm lucky if I get 2 years from any lawnmower type battery that goes months without use, even when i bring them indoors for the winter and occasionally charge them.
