Hello I have an aqua trol it’s firmware is a 1.45 it does not have a way to change salt cell My daughter bought me a new cell for mine was dues after 7 seasons was a t5. But she bought a t9 for my birthday Problem is there is no way to change cell size and we passed the time of return any ideas what I can do

Put the T9 on and see what the readings are.

The only problem will be that the salinity will read about 1.3 times too high.

For example, if the salinity is 3,200 ppm, the new salinity will read 4,160 ppm, which is fine.

What is the actual salinity?

If you change the board to take a T-15, then the salinity will read about 1.5 times too low.

For example, if the actual is 3,400 ppm, then the reading will be 2,267 ppm.

Show the main circuit board.

You can make the board work either way.

I’m in Canada so it’s still to cold to try this but your saying I can use t9 and if I need 3200 as a reading it will read higher

You can put your salinity at 2,400 ppm and use the T9 and the salinity will read 3,200 ppm.

As long as the High Salt light does not come on, it's fine.

The High Salt LED comes on based on amps.

I do not know the exact number for the T-5 setting, but if the High Salt comes on, you can just lower the salinity.

Or, you can switch to the T15 setting and it will work as long as the Low Salt light does not come on.
