Anyone look at the Wybot M1 ultra?

Sounds like there's some air in there. Have had a similar issue with other robots. Take it out of the pool and let the water drain then resubmerge it for 10 seconds until you see no bubbles, and power on. That should stop it from popping a wheelie.
No luck unfortunately. Tons of other posts with the same story. Potentially it's by design but just poorly communicated.. I'm not sure.

I have been using the M1 Ultra for abou 5 weeks (got it via the kickstarter for a good discount).
Quite a few teething problems, mainly due to poor translation and poor direction from wybot.
things I've learned:
1) the unit needs to have a calibration done OUT OF THE WATER - best results were by charging to 100% via the included power cable, then using the app to run the calibration.
2) the app is laggy and buggy. you require patenience to use it, but once you get the bot setup, it does tend to work as advertised. my pool was spotless once I figured out how to get the schedual going.
3) it's confusing for folks who don't know what to expect... the front of the unit has a couple of floats in it, designed to make it buoyant on that end - it's by design, so you can more easily hook the handle (with the provided pool hook end), and makes it easier for it to clumb and scrub walls and waterline. I thought it was a genius design move, as i also means they can easily float the unit off obstacles/stairs/curves by turning off the main pump periodicly, and and letting the treads move the unit forward or backwards.
4) one day of full sun on the solar charger gets my battery to about 70% charge... so setting the schedual to every other day ensures a full clean... on the flip side, running it daily doesn't get the entire pool every day, but because it has done such an amazing job of keeping the pool vacumed and brushed, one would never know it wasn't cleaning the enitre thing in one swing!
5) sadly, my wybot has died completely after 5 weeks of service. judging from the FB forums, this unit will probably suffer a near 100% return rate, due to what looks like a manufacturing/design flaw in the power/control panel buttons on the floating battery. they don't appear to be sealed well enough to stay floating in the pool all day, and once water gets under the plastic, the control board shorts and the unit begins a loud alarm beeping to let you know it's time to arrange a funeral/return party for your super cool and previously useful pool cleaner...
I'm in mourning, and back to using a polaris and a brush to keep my pool clean until I can resolve the issue, wybot has been alerted and I'm awaiting the 'next step', which I expect will be a refund/return... Unless/until they fix this issue, wait to drop money on this product.
It's -almost- perfect... they just need to fix this one issue.

I can echo above. Do not attempt to buy this robot as it is. Serious and critical design flaws at current that I don't believe can be fixed by firmware.

yes, to be clear, this is a mechanical issue with the physical power button/control panel on the unit. zero to do with firmware/software. While clunky, i was able to get it to work as advertised, and I was very impressed with the sand/grit the filter bag pulled up, as well as the waterline scrubing action. the dual brushes seemed to really work well in knocking loose anything that might be a little stuborn, and the vacume action never seemed to miss anything the bot drove over.
I really wish mine hadn't broken, but, as indicated, the short term reports coming back seem to indicate everyone is going to have that physical failure of the power switch, rendering the unit dead.
I really really hope they can fix it, but until then, i'm going to be getting a refund and trying the aiper seagull pro bot (which probably comes off the same line), as it seems to at least have some logetivity to it. no dual brushes, but on paper they seem otherwise similar, and its been out long enough to already have its teething issues fixed (He says hopefully)

The seagull pro does not have good reviews. Potentially same company, that I don't know, but I wouldn't try that one. I'd go polaris or dolphin instead and I hate dolphin.

So I finally got mine from the kick starter about 3 weeks ago. It’s been in the water since and seems to do a good job but I have problems connecting to it and it says they there is an update on the app but it never seems to update. My pool season is about done so I will have to see if it turns back on next May. Lol.

Do not wait. DM me and I'll add you to the Facebook group of the many, many customers who are focused on getting refunds/discussing the process. You have only 30 days in which to do this.

So haven't checked on this forum for a while , My robot didn't even last a season before it began to malfunction, I called and talked to a very nice lady last July and she gave me a email address to send my info. to and I even sent a video of the unit emitting a high pitched whine and it would not operate. I received no response from my email. so I tried and again a few weeks Later and talked with the same nice lady and she said she would file it for me, I again sent in a another email with another video and pictures and i still haven't even got a responses that my emails were received. I was getting ready to restart again as my unit is still with in the 2 year warranty when I have come across this post again. I'm not sure if i will ever get a refund let alone a response without taking some legal action. But I think its safe to say I will not be buying anything from the Wybot brand.

Put the entire thing in the trash and try to forget about it. Any other course of action will be inevitable mind numbing frustration.

Or if you bought it on a credit card that offers warranty extension, that might actually be a workable avenue after the warranty is up.

So I didn’t even buy this one I just got a wybot c1 pro. It worked for maybe a month. 2 runs would clean my small pool. I then spent the next 5 months trying to run it and wondering if maybe something in my pool was making it miss most of the pool. Then it started just doing wheelies. Finally January 2nd I started warranty. After they screwed around a bit they finally sent a replacement. But they sent the wrong one. They sent a c1 instead of a pro. This arrives literally on the day they decide to do on vacation for Chinese new year so I bought a new cleaner elsewhere as I need my pool cleaned. I then asked these idiots to refund. I hear a week through their “vacation” that they will ship another one to which I said just refund. No further contact. I wrote a couple more times a week or more later when they should not back from the vacation but still no response. A week after they are back from their vacation the right cleaner actually shows up with no one saying anything. I then called them for the third time and told them I need a refund. They emailed back and agreed to the refund and I was supposed to get mailing labels to send the two units back to them. Then they reneged and said they were going to charge a usage fee when they literally took 6 weeks to send a replacement because they sent the wrong one and that could have corrected that if they didn’t waste a week and a half in the beginning. Moral of the story? Avoid these jokers.
