Anyone ever order from Vitafilters.com?

A fairly new company with overly exuberant ratings that seem unrealistic and many seem to praise a person named Matt.
Matt is awesome. They really are helpful and incredibly responsive. Customer service is the best I’ve come across online.

Is it a legitimate business?

Maybe, but the praise and descriptions seem a little bit over the top.

The "Internet's leading retailer"?

Highly unlikely.

Vita Filers is the internet’s leading retailer of water filtration systems and pool equipment, renowned for its extensive product range and customer-focused service.

Commercio, LLC is a US-based group of eTail, digital marketing, and eCommerce companies.

Seems like a company that builds online stores more than a company that is really focused on delivering good value.

Typically, a sign of just mass produced websites for any type of product and a mass production hype machine churning out questionable reviews.

In any case, there is no clear evidence one way or the other if the company is good or not.

I am just speculating about some things and giving opinions.

They always come up when searching for my replacement filters. I believe they have been discontinued because most the regular retailers don't carry them anymore. Maybe it's a surplus / old stock retailer like the TJ Maxx of pool supplies.

Well I'm from Illinois, so I can assure everyone that I have no affiliation with this store whatsoever despite my name being Matt. My story is that I bought an aquasport 52 ,24 ft round agp which I am installing in the spring. I've been looking for deals on equipment over the winter months, and found this heat pump unit which looks like a really good price:

But there is very little mention of this website here or on Reddit, hence why I came here to ask. Based on everyone's responses so far, it seems like kind of an unknown.

Without a doubt, that's a great price on that heater. Just watch any shipping charges and, if you get it, be very sure that there is no shipping damage before signing off on the delivery and have a qualified installer install it if you want the manufacturer's warranty to be active. Most manufacturers enforce their internet minimum advertised pricing structure but they don't seem to be for this style of heater, which, I think, will be replaced by their Crosswind series (the TWPH-6550EHT08 is the next generation of that heat pump).

Seems suspicious to me.

The price seems too good to be true, which means that it probably is not what it seems to be.

I would find a local installer who has an HVAC license and is an authorized dealer for the equipment they install and they provide a written guarantee of service for a specific period of time.

I would want a 3 year manufacturer's warranty and a 3 year labor warranty from the installer.

Most qualified installers won't install a heat pump unless they sell you the unit.

Manufacturers typically do not want to warranty equipment bought from unauthorized dealers and installed by unauthorized contractors.

Very true - it can be like bringing your own steak to a restaurant and asking them to cook it and serve it to you - but most of the manufacturers realize that internet purchases are a good percentage of their business, so they will generally take care of you as long as you can prove it was professionally installed. Your mileage may vary......

Raypak has an installer search feature on their website at Find A Pool & Spa Heater Installer – Raypak . I would head there and/or find a local installer before purchasing anything if the warranty matters to you.
