Anybody have Walmart Intex white Summer Waves 14x42 leak?

You able to return the leaky pools with no problems?

Some products turn out to be lemons. Let it be the problem between the retailers and manufacturers.

that sucks. if the holes are small, not in a seam and are easily patched AND the rest of the pool seems OK I would probably live with it. when I got my pool SOMEONE in the house didn't sweep the back of the pick up out before we met the shipping truck...there was junk including broken glass in there. of course the box was pretty beat up when they unloaded it too, so we got a hole from all of that. the patch stayed on for 5 years and it has never leaked anywhere else. I hated having that on a brand new pool, but it was our fault and I sure wasn't going to send it back even if it wasn't unless it was a seam that we couldn't fix.

you can't patch over the whole seam but you could conceivably lift up the flap and place the patch under it (and it would help protect the patch a bit too, but be careful brushing in that area)
is the pool full or can you work on it without having to dive?

that makes it easier to work on if you decide to try and repair it - your call, I'm afraid. sucks to have damage to a new product. returning it might help get the message across to the sellers/manufactures/shippers but it leaves you with out the pool. maybe consider going to a slightly "better" model? I think the Intex XTR pools are supposed to have 2 year waranties and the frames are better coated. they all have risk of defects though. just life for consumers, ya know?

You could just upgrade to a metal wall above ground pool.

yes, though it will likely void any warranty. my first pool was a "good" (as opposed to better and best) Sears pool and we installed it inside of an old steel walled concrete bottom water storage tank. that floor was not very level and it did fine for more than 10 years until we had a freak flood event. definitely get padding for the bottom and foam cove. back in the day they didn't have stuff like that. we actually sifted sand and put it down on top of the concrete for the bottom and the cove. ugh!

Well Gonna try a third one
14 x 42inch Summer Waves Elite again
Should arrive tomorrow

I bought a liner pad from home depot

I hope that will be a great add on
as I said before its going on a flat slab that is about 16 x 20
the last one leaked on side pinhole by seam and also on bottom one other side
has to be a bad lot of these
hopefully the next one will be good

The last summer waves 12 x 36 lasted 3 years no problems at all and it was right on concrete
no pad
