Anti Fatigue Mats Use

Hi everyone,
I tried digging around for an answer to this but wasn't able to pinpoint one. We are using the anti-fatigue mats from harbor freight under our 32 x 16 pool. I imagine a pool this size will crush the 1/2 inch mats, therefore our pavers should be exactly level with the ground since the mats would be almost non-existent? I am hoping someone else has used these and can advise how much flatter the mats got once under the weight of the water. Thanks in advance!!

Welcome to the forum.
I have a few questions after reading your post.
What kind of pool are you putting up? Hard sided or Intex type?
What does the installation instructions tell you about the pavers being level with the ground? (that's standard with AGP to maintain the weight of the uprights)
The mats go inside the walls of the pool, not under the bottom rails nor under the pavers (not sure if that's what you were thinking)
If putting up a hard sided AGP, you would put the mats down first within the walls, then a cove on top of them to protect the liner. If it's an Intex pool, this does not apply but the mats are still only under the vinyl liner portion of the pool. Not under the support legs.

Am I making sense, or am I confused with what you are trying to do?

My only concern would be that these mats may not be suitable for outdoor use. What are they, some sort of foam rubber? Will they absorb water and get waterlogged?

I used the Anti Fatigue mats from Harbor freight between my Intex 12 x 24 liner and the concrete pad the pool sits on. There is not enough height in the pads to worry about. The weight of the water in the pool will effectively flatten the mats, but they still do a good job protecting the liner and they leave nice feel under foot when your in the pool. I would keep the pavers flush with the ground.

I used these exact mats under 14’x42” and worked extremely great no problems what so ever. I only suggest you tape the seams as they can move around the ones that come out from under the edge. I was nervous too but I’ve removed them to put up new pool once I relevel and they still look new
