Amerlite just died, replacement options?

Hi All, we have a large 35,000 gallon diving pool and the light in the deep end just died. Before we contact our pool guy, I was wondering what new options there are to replace the light and what is recommended. My wife would love the ability to change colors, but not at the expense of the strength of the light. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

I did this a couple of years ago

Thanks for the responses. I'm not sure what Amerlite I have, it is about 12 years old. It failed once before about 8 years into use. This is now the second time. We need to have our pool drained and refilled, so I figured this would be a good time to address the light. The pool company that is doing the draining and cleaning uses the Pentair LED light system. We have a 35,000 gallon diving pool, with darkish pebble sheen, so my wife is concerned that there won't be a "wow" effect with an LED color light. I think we would save about $500 to just replace the existing light (bulb and seal). Does anyone have any experience with this Pentair system and whether it will provide sufficient light? I know this is clearly subjective, but any opinions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I agree with AJ... Also, whatever light you get, you would have to match the niche that currently cemented into your pool. That means you just can't choose anything. That is why knowing what kind of light you have is the first thing you have to do, to find the kind of niche you have, and that will tell what options you have. If you got 8 years out of a light bulb... that's pretty good. My bathroom light doesn't last that long.
