I have an 1.5HP 240v Air Supply Silencer Air Blower for use with my Spool. I have a total of 7 jets throughout the pool and they work fine. When I select the air blower via the ScreenLogic app, I hear a click on the automation panel, the check valve in the pipe leading to the air blower visibly engages through the see-through window, but no additional air is produced, so it is getting power. The air volume on the jets remain the same. I made the selection directly from the automation panel and same result. I flipped the breaker twice, nothing. I removed the lid looking for anything obvious, nothing. I tugged on all the wiring, nothing loose. I did NOT run the air blower with the lid off to confirm any movement because I didn't know if that was going to cause some kind of suction issue.

Admittedly, I don't use the air blower often or even the jets, but the entire pool and its equipment is only 2.5 years old. I contacted the company and they said, "Check the voltage because it sounds like it is working on 120volt instead of 240volt."

I don't know how I would test this....

Thank you for your time and assistance.

There is usually an on/off toggle switch on the bottom of the unit somewhere. Be sure it isn't in the "off" position.

Test for voltage using your multimeter at the blower electrical connections.

If you have voltage at the blower then the blower is defective.
Can you work with electricity?

If yes, we can help.

If no, you probably need to call for service.

Is the blower actually turning on?

Is it making any noise at all?

The check valve is not going to move with no pressure.

Can you show a video of what happens?

Are you comfortable working on electrical equipment?

Can you show the whole system?

The spring inside the check valve does begin bouncing up and down, but the blower does not "whirl up". So, when the jets are on and then I engage the air blower, there is no difference in the volume of the jets. I can do some electrical work on a basic level.

I can't seem to attach a video....?

5. Do not glue blower to the supply line. Glue fumes may cause an explosion when the blower is started.

You can secure the blower to the supply line by pre-drilling a small hole through the neck of the blower and securing with a screw.

Can you take the blower off of the plumbing and try to run it with no pressure?

BLOWER SIZING & TROUBLESHOOTING.

IF BLOWER SHUTS OFF AFTER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME (USUALLY 5 MINUTES) THEN THE BLOWER IS OVERHEATING.

FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO DETERMINE THE PROBLEM AND COME UP WITH A SOLUTION.

SUPERCHARGING WATER JETS.

1) ALLOW AT LEAST ONE HOUR FOR THE BLOWER MOTOR TO COOL BEFORE RE-STARTING BLOWER.

2) CHECK TO MAKE SURE WATER JETS ARE ASSEMBLED CORRECTLY, THAT ALL O-RINGS ARE SEATED CORRECTLY AS PER MANUFACTURER REQUIREMENTS.

3) TURN OFF WATER PUMP.

4) RUN BLOWER BY IT SELF FOR AT LEAST 20 TO 25 MINUTES.

5) IF BLOWER CONTINUES TO RUN AFTER 25 MINUTES TURN ON WATER PUMP.

6) IF BLOWER SHUTS OFF ONCE THE PUMP HAS BEEN TURNED ON THEN THE BLOWER AND THE PUMP CANNOT OPERATE AT THE SAME TIME WITHOUT MAKING SOME CHANGES TO THE SYSTEM.

HERE ARE SOME SUGGESTIONS.

7) YOU SHOULD HAVE A MAXIMUM OF ¼ HP FOR EVERY JET FOR BOTH BLOWER AND FOR WATER PUMP.

8) IF THE WATER JETS ARE ADJUSTABLE, MAKE SURE THEY ARE 100% OPEN.

9) IF THE EYE BALLS ARE REMOVEABLE, CHANGE OUT EYE BALLS FOR A LARGER OPENING.

10) DRILL A ¼ INCH HOLE IN THE AIR LINE ABOVE THE WATER LINE BUT BELOW THE CHECK VALVE.

IF BLOWER CONTINUE TO SHUT OFF, DRILL A SECOND HOLE.

11) FOR FURTHER INFORMATION AND TROUBLE SHOOTING DIAL 1800 848 3077 EXT 104.

JamesW, this is great. I'll troubleshoot this some more with your suggestions. I really appreciate you taking the time to provide so much information.

The breaker on the BOOSTER PUMP was tripped! I feel silly now because I flipped the air blower breaker off/on, but just eyeballed the booster pump breaker without cycling it.

All is well! Thank you again folks. You saved me a Saturday morning or a pricey service call!

The jets are actually pulling air through the blower causing the check valve to move. If the blower was on the check valve would be completely open.
