Hello I’m a first time pool owner on a house we just bought. I noticed the spa jets don’t have any bubbles a lid my neighbor told me he can’t find the air intake that produces the air? Any ideas? Here is my equipment.

Welcome to TFP.

Hard to say from the jumble of pipes that your pictures show where an air vent may be.

There is a capped off pipe next to your pump and spa suction line.

Could be that your spa was built without any air bubble feature.

Try removing the white cap from the line Allen mentioned. It looks new and doesn't even look like it's glued on. That would be the first place I would check.

I hope not. Is there a way to add without trenching new pipes?

Adding air into the water of spa jets is not as easy as adding a pipe. A spa has separate air and water lines going to each spa jet and a manifold at the jet combined the two right before it comes out. So the entire spa plumbing and jets needs to be designed for a combination of air and water.

Marty has the right next question of let's see what your jets look like.

If you don't have an air blower or spa jets that look like they combine air and water then chances are your spa was not plumbed for any air bubbles.

Thank you. I took the cap off of that line and appears to have water in it at ground height. It did see to get a little air in jets for about 3 seconds then back to normal... Is there anything I can do with this pipe to help? Is it normal to have water in it? Any idea how to drain if not?

Did you have the system in spa mode (full suction from and return to spa) and the pump at high speed?

yes I did. Then I realized you may have been talking removing cap on the little 1 inch line stubbed out of ground correct? Not the two inch line that I sent in pics? I may have done wrong pipe

No they are just pvc stubs in the walls of spa. Nothing is attached to them. So basically you can shove your finger in it and it’s just smooth pipe
Sorry if I repeat any previous questions, just got on this one.
So you can see the end of a pipe in the spa wall, or is there a flange about a half-inch thick that protrudes a bit out from the wall?
Is there an eyeball or nozzle (directional adjustment like a pool return) in the return?
How big is it? 3/8-1/2 sounds like a nozzle. You could not get your finger into a 3/8, and only the tip in a 1/2. So how far back in there are you able to feel smooth pipe?
You said you saw air for a moment when you removed the cap but it stopped. How long did you run it that way?
The 2" pipe sure looks like a blower connection. If they are jets (as pictured before) they will still pull in air even without a blower, but it may take quite a while to pull all the water out of the pipe to get some air to it. It is normal for that pipe to fill with water when the jets are off, as it uses a venturi to create the suction. That's why there is often a check valve on the air intake or blower line to trap the air in the pipe.
If it has those jets, they are adjustable. They can easily become stuck from scale and not move anymore.
Would it be possible to get a close-up pic of the jet?

Nothing protrudes out its just eye balls. 1/2 I would say and you can feel smooth pipe all the way with pointer finger.

I attached a shop vac and blew the line. Jets came on while I did then then settled back to normal when I removed.
I also noticed a valve right before my spa on ground level. I felt Messi g with it made jets stronger for a second then at a certain spot heard water tricking through it.

does air pipe have to be a certain height? Mines only about 2 ft from ground and no 90s like other people have.
Here is a pic of valve I was speaking of. Also my jets pic
