Accidently dumped 30 second cleaner into pool

I have an 18x33 above ground pool. Put in a new liner a few weeks ago and have been trying to get the pool ready. We put in a salt system last year but it seems like I'm not getting any chlorine even though the salt is reading at 3200.

Therefore I bought a bottle of liquid chlorine to get the levels up. Unfortanately this morning I grabbed the wrong bottle and dumped a whole gallon bottle of 30 Second Cleaner into the pool before I realized I had the wrong bottle.

It looks like the contents of 30 Second Cleaner is mostly bleach but I'm obviously concerned about anyone getting in the pool. It's been 12 hours now and I just tested the water. Everything looks good except the chlorine level is still low.

Any suggestions would be appreciated as to what I need to do and when it would be safe to get in the pool.

What test kit are you using?

30 Second Cleaner is primarily bleach.

Bring your pool FC up to target and go swim.

Thanks. I'm just using the Clorox test strips for salt pools. The bottle for the 30 Second Cleaner also says it contains "inert ingrediants" but doesn't specify what those are. Water right now seems fine though 15 hours later. I'm just still trying to get the chlorine up.

Test strips are worthless.

If you intend to follow TFP Pool Care Methods you need to get the Taylor K-2006C or TFT Test Kits

The Inert Ingredients should not cause any problems.

Never buy that stuff again, or anything like it. It's stupid expensive weak bleach. Check the link Allen posted. 1% to 5% chlorine which is half strength or less, for $10 a gallon.

And. If it was 5% they'd say so. So it's 1% IMO.

Water down your own pool chorine and save a bunch.
