A plumbing question: removing Fusion Inground chlorinator

I'm finishing my install of a liquid chlorine injector (Stenner pump + Intermatic PE153 timer). I will provide pictures and a description, but for now I have a plumbing question. I need to replace my Fusion Inground chlorinator with a section of a PVC pipe and a T-connector to install the Stenner 1/2'' injection fitting. I would like to do so by attaching the pipe to the existing universal unions to which the Fusion chlorinator is attached. What fittings do I need? Perhaps some links to a place which sells them? Here is the picture of the Fusion chlorinator (I believe the attachment thread is NPT 2 1/2''). Thanks!

There is nothing that fits those connections they are totally proprietary. I tried. I bought every single union I could find and none was even close. Jandy/Zodiac also do not sell the male fittings for these. My STRONG advice is to rethink your plan and to instead get the FusionSoft version of this which is a strait swap and convert to a saltwater pool for chlorination. That looks like a nice new setup so I am not sure why you didn't go saltwater to begin with. You should not use the mineral portion of the FusionSoft (or the Fusion you have I hope you are not). I use the FusionSoft on my 29k gallon pool sans mineral cartridge and it works fantastic.

Nature2 at one point sold a "spool" that was for replacing the Nature2 chlorinator with a straight pipe for winterizing reasons. I have searched and had no luck finding this but supposedly it is out there.

Thanks PoolGate for the info. For now that ship has already sailed. I have everything in place for LC injection. I will be able to start using it once I add the injection point. I will try to search for this straight pipe replacement from Nature2.
Here is my Stenner setup, with a buried 15 gallon drum (that was an easy part, the ground is basically a compacted sand):

I wonder if this would attach to the jandy/zodiac union?

I got an answer from getpoolparts.com that the thread of this part is not compatible with zodiac “universal union”. (Yeah, right, name it”universal” to fool people into thinking they can substitute devices; in reality you are locked into zodiac products. Indecent.)

Just be sure no one puts a trichlor puck in the thing. If you mix liquid chlorine with trichlor ---- BOOM!!!!!!

Does the trichlor tab cap come off in its entirety? If so, is it a standard size (i.e. 3") that will allow you to McGyver some PVC fittings together to serve as the injection point?

If your injection port works in the Fusion drain line that looks like a permanent solution to me. The top does screw off but again the threads would be proprietary.

Thanks for all advice! I ended up connecting the injector to the chlorinator drain. I also ended up with this wooden contraption made of deck boards to hold the chlorine drum:

Burying the plastic drum in the soft ground didn’t go well. The first strong rain washed the sand out and the gravel on top just sank. That didn’t look good...
All this is temporary anyway. I’m designing a 8’x8’ shed with a partial floor. An active ventilation will be an important part of it. The air will be sucked in from beneath the floor and removed by a 16” fan in the upper part of the wall. Hoping to finish it during the off season.
