2018: Fiberglass install uxbridge ointario

So the autofiller is awesome and small money imo compared to the cost of the project. Also cheap insurance for a pump, specially a VS pump @ $1000+.
Plus, you dont have to get the dang hose out.
If you Google that jandy filler, there is some reports of the sensor failing. It is a plastic housing with wires covered in encapsulating compound. Problem with that stuff is it dries rock hard. When you bend the wire I believe it creates a gap for water to potentially enter. Before install I put some silicone around the wires and pins. Time will tell if I get good life out of it. Either way, I have conduit and a straight 60' run back to controller so I can feed new sensor in the future.

Nice job and walk through! That piece in the water/skimmer...... was brand new to me. I AM off to google it LOL

It will be interesting to see if you "fix" for the wires to the filler works. My guess is YES!

Cool video! Really good explanation of your bonding and equipment pad. Corner shed and hammocks sound great.

2.5 months on this project so far. So many more things I want to do but also want to be done working. So hard to stop adding to the job......lol

Thanks about the video

Looks great. I’m scrubbing our yard today so I can layout for our project.

How about a tiki bar/bbq build to include in landscape portion?

A few more weeks and soon you will be able to kick back with a cold one and enjoy your fruits of labor [emoji482]

Chris and kick back does not go in the same sentence I have come to find out LOL

That looks awesome. I love the curves that follow the pool's curves. Very well done. When will it be poured? How many trucks will it take? Will you be the one to do the finishing?

@ 6” thick I have figured for 8.5 cubic meters of concrete. A truck is around 8 cubic meters and since I am using coloured concrete it is not good practice to order 1 truck with 8 meters and a second with 1. The Color could be off. I will probably order 2 trucks with 5 meters each. If I end up not using a meter, no big deal. Better than not having enough.

I will hire out the finishing to people that specialize in that. I would not be happy with the quality if I did it.

Hey dude 2018 summer has just started. [emoji2] still looking great [emoji482]

I wanna see the video of Chris ripping those trees out!

Will you have them mix the two trucks when they get there?

Kim:kim:

I wont be ripping them. I will be cutting them at the ground. lol

No, wont mix trucks.

To further explain about the tinted concrete. The pigment comes in bags. Very accurately measured bags. The concrete is not so accurately measured.

If you ordered 8 meters, you could very well get 8.5

So if you put 8 bags of pigment in 8.5 meters of concrete and if you ordered 1 meter of concrete and added 1 bag of pigment you could potentially get 1.5 meters.

The ratio of pigment to concrete would be way off when comparing the 2 batches.

Whereas, 2 batches of 5 meters would most likely be very close.

Hard to put into words. Hope that explains it.
