    Regret increasing CYA to 80

    I totally regret increasing my CYA from 40 to 80. SLAM 8 gallons of bleach is not fun vs just using 3. I already went through 15 gallons just to keep the FC at 28 for the past couple of days. 😭

    Cloudy Pool after adding Algaecide BioGuard Algae All 60

    I'm doing a Scaletec Plus treatment. My FC level is 0.5 so yesterday I added 18 oz of BioGuard Algae All 60 to prevent algae. This morning the pool is now cloudy and the water feels thick and a little sticky. Is this normal?

    PH increases by 0.1 per day. Normal?

    Is it normal for PH to go up 0.1 per day? That's what mine is going up by since I took over the maintenance myself this year. Current Readings Using my Leslie's - 9-Way Pool Water Test Kit. FC 5 PH 7.4 TA 80 CYA 60 Borate 50 CH 300 Water feature is not running.

    My SWCG Pool currently reads PH 7.2 and TA 60. Can I add Leslie Liquid Pool Conditioner and Granular Boric Acid at the same time? Currently, Borate reading is at zero and CYA is at 55. Thanks!

    Blue color tint after liquid shock - normal?

    I had a CC of more than 0.5 so I decided to shock the pool using 2 gallons of Pool Essentials Chlorinating Liquid and turned off the salt generator. 48 hrs later the FC dropped back to 4.6. The salt gen is still at 0%. The pool water looks clear but now has a blue tint to it. Any idea why?

    Shock SWCG after heavy use?

    Hi all. Should I shock my SWCG pool after a pool party? Right now I’m just boosting 100% for 16 hrs during heavy use. I check FC level every hour or so during the party and it’s steady at 2.5. Water gets cloudy but improves the next morning with FC at 2.5 and still boosting. Thanks!

    Muriatic acid for 26k SWCG pool

    On my third season with our 26k gallon swcg pool. I go through a gallon of acid every two weeks to keep PH at 7.5. Is that normal?
