That chlorine level is just fine

Is that your only drain option? My PB put in a 1.5” pipe to attach to and drain out. I have to imagine a standard hose would take a while.

Your pool is marginally smaller than mine. My math indicates my pool loses or gains 400 gallons per inch of water. If you’re adding an inch of rain you add 400 gallons to the pool, or 1.6% dilution. This will cause your FC to fall from 44 to 43.29 (although realize you can’t measure that)...

Ours hit 80* in GA today for the first time. Pool season is here! We don’t close, because of so small of a window of weather around freezing. I think there were <10 days during the winter where I ran the pump nonstop as precaution.

What are the consequences of adding two? Given the TFP methodology and following the instructions to the letter, have some been getting unreliable results?

A little acid should bring down the TA and ph. I can’t spent the CH because I’ve got vinyl.

So that’s what those things are called. I have a pile of them in one corner of my yard. I do not remember that being so crazy last year (first year for us).

Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like ifs not worth the trouble unless we want a deeper color. As far as the specifics, I didn’t ask enough questions on our 2023 install so I am not sure.

Ours still gets a little warm. I feel like it could use another coat of the color to get just right on appearance. However, I’m not sure I want to bother if it doesn’t help with the cooling. What say you?
