    Help with unwired pool light

I’ve done a bit more digging into what all is connected with the wiring. When the gfci outlet is tripped, nothing in this box is live. The pool light switch (on the outside wall) is also dead when tripped. When reset, the light switch is hot, and one black wire in the box. Would it be...

Let’s see your water after removing winter cover!! *PICS THREAD*

Thank you!! So, funny you should ask about the cya. I slammed assuming zero. When tested initially I went all the way to the top and could clearly see the black dot with no cloudiness at all. So I added stabilizer to get to 30. Tested 4 days later and cya read 40. So apparently there was about...

I just need other eyes to see this. Pool light.

Okay, so now let the fun begin! Apparently I’m now in the market for a new light fixture. What fun, maybe color changing LED do you all like that would fit the niche this came out of?

I agree! Luckily it’s on its own breaker and I can continue to slam. You shoulda seen the cloud of green funk that came out when I pulled it. 🤢 Thank you!

I just need other eyes to see this. Pool light.

Like, what even is this? Lime jello? Next to the bulb. Just bought this house. SLAMMING pool now. Pool light doesn’t work. Is it worth trying to save this fixture? Dry it out, new gasket and bulb? Or just count it as lost and replace the whole fixture? Looks like cord has been spliced before.

What order to plumb electrical heater.

The house we just moved out of had a 40,000 btu gas Hayward heater. I’ll attach a picture of how it was plumbed. We had a 23,000 pool. The labels are because I made this for my husband who had to take care of the pool when I went out of town once, and I needed him to know what I was talking...

Blue Scoop for TF 100 kit

I think you would be okay just with a very close guess. I remember reading here from an expert that as long as you add enough for it to turn pink, being perfectly exact on the scoops doesn’t matter. Let’s be honest, the scoop could be heaping, or level, and that could be a big difference if the...

Sand filter not filtering out small particles

Yikes, pool equipment in your basement, bless your heart! Maybe try a good, long backwash? Like, fill your pool way high and backwash 30 minutes or so. Hopefully it would be enough to break up any channels. If that doesn’t work, open it up and give it a good stir (be careful not to damage the...

Does anyone’s Nautilus CC struggle going up the walls sometimes?

I have the C3 named Kevin. He climbs walls like a monkey when he’s squeaky clean. I jet spray and clean out everything, filters, impeller, inside walls, check tracks/wheels. If I noticed he’s getting sluggish and not climbing, I know he needs a good deep cleaning. Also, check that your climbing...

Way to directly test if Bromine is present?

I completely agree! I also noticed looking at his profile that he joined one day, then was never heard from again 2 days later 🤣

Way to directly test if Bromine is present?

Salt test finally got here. It’s 600ppm. Not SWCG, using liquid chlorine, but the equipment pad does have that pentair feeder.

Let’s see your water after removing winter cover!! *PICS THREAD*

Just bought this house this winter. I vow to never have an opening like this ever again. Almost there now though, been slamming and scrubbing for almost a week. Just waiting for the cloudiness to be gone. Sand filters really test my patience.

Way to directly test if Bromine is present?

Maybe I’m overthinking for the point I’m at, BUT, since I’m still slamming, I’m inevitably going to have to backwash again at some point. I have my cya at 30. When I have to do a 2 minute or so backwash (20,000 gallon pool) should I add a little more cya?
