Pentair Intelliconnect Relay CircuPool SWG Question

I was thinking that if the concern is a faulty flow switch, you could have two, so if one fails, you’d have the other as a backup. So if one stays closed (faulty), but the other is open, the circuit would stay open. You would wire the switches in series.

Pentair Intelliconnect Relay CircuPool SWG Question

02/26/2018 Superflow VS 312001 Thank you for your responses. From your questions I was able to research and confirm that the Intelliconnect wont work with my pump. Maybe when I upgrade the pump, I can see what automation is available then. For now, I will plan on running the pump 24/7 and...

Pentair Intelliconnect Relay CircuPool SWG Question

Unfortunately I already purchased the SWG and the return window closed. I guess I could always try selling it. Glad to hear I can set the relay up like that, that’s probably the way I’ll go. Until then I will run 24/7. Thank you

Pentair Intelliconnect Relay CircuPool SWG Question

I am in the process of upgrading our pool pad. I already had a Pentair IntelliFlo pool pump. To that I am adding a CircuPool Universal 55 and a Gulfstream heat pump. I don't really have a need for automation, but I read that counting on the flow switch of the SWG to prevent the system from...

    Should I add a skimmer?

I appreciate the response. The existing skimmer is getting replaced, so I should be good to go there. I will find out how much an additional return will be, I have 3, but should have mentioned that 1 of them is on the stairs. Doesn't seem like it does much other than keep the stairs debris free...

    Should I add a skimmer?

We are in the process of renovating our pool. Its 16x32 vinyl with one main drain, one skimmer and 3 returns. I read online that its suggested to have one skimmer for every 400 sq ft., which means for our size, 512 sq ft, we should have two. Should I have my pool guy install a second one...

About to pull the trigger on Cartridge Filter, please help

Lots might have been a bit of an exaggerations. Definitely not a Forrest, more like 8-10 50’ trees along the back property lines between the houses in our neighborhood. If any of them fell, maybe 4 could hit our house. I’m leaning toward the Aquastar Pipeline. If I add one of the Circulon pre...

About to pull the trigger on Cartridge Filter, please help

Am I assuming correctly that the Waterway 450 sq. ft. filter will need cleaning approx. half as many times as the 250 sq. ft. AquaStar? I really like the footprint and maintenance of the AquaStar, just don't know if will be big enough. I have a lot of trees, so I will likely be on the higher...

About to pull the trigger on Cartridge Filter, please help

I've been running into issues with the multi port on my Hayward. I replaced it 3 years ago and it was working fine. This last year it was binding up a bit, probably just needs a little maintenance. I am just tired of dealing with it and backwashing. We have a small slopped yard. When we...

About to pull the trigger on Cartridge Filter, please help

I am switching from a sand filter to a cartridge filter. I have a couple that I am comparing and would like to purchase one this week. I have listed them in order of my preference. I am looking for any insight or suggestions. If there is a different brand that I should be looking at, let me...

I ended up biting the bullet and ordered it last night. I got the universal 55 as it was cheaper than the RJ 45. Hope I made the right choice.

    Discount Salt Pool Sale Question

I’m planning to purchase the CircuPool Universal55 Saltwater Chlorinator System from DSP for my 23k pool. They have a sale that ends tonight, it’s $10 more than the Universal 40. Is this the best price they offer, or is this a normal price for them? Seems like this upgrade sale has been going...

    Skimmer and plumbing replacement

Ok, I wont worry about the return lines. As far as the flex vs rigid, I live in Upstate NY where the frost line is around 60", I assumed that is why they use mostly flex here...is that accurate? My assumption was not to use rigid underground. Thanks

    Olympic Step Renew Resurfacing Kits

Has anyone tried Olympic Step Renew Resurfacing Kits to change the color on their plastic inground steps? Mine are white. We will be replacing the vinyl liner and coping this spring, thought it would be a good time to renew the steps. They have some brown stains on them but are in good...

    Stubborn Green Cloudiness

Good morning, I am having a hard time getting rid of green cloudiness...I assume its algae, I just have never had this hard of a time getting rid of it. I have shocked the pool several times over the last month, and have the numbers pretty well squared away, although the PH was high when I...
