So I think my paralevel automatic water leveler has problems and isn’t working right. A month or so ago my pool water seemed like it was lower than it should be and I felt debris wasn’t skimming well because of the water level. So I adjusted the paralevel and turned it counter clockwise in the direction it says you need to turn to raise the water. Doing so did nothing to ameliorate the problem and water got lower and lower until my skimmer basket had no water in it and air was getting sucked in. Pool company that works with PB said to manually add water to
Pool. I did and added a little too much. We adjusted the paralevel (which was at the max height from before I added the water) . Lady from
Pool company said it looked like it was at the perfect height, but now the water is getting low again. Should I turn the paralevel again? I did one revolution so far .

Do whatever it takes to get it working or make a warranty claim with your pool builder and make it Pentair's problem to fix.

I am not a big fan of autofill's and think they are often more trouble then they are worth.

In our climate some sort of auto level system is required.
I have a basic float valve. Works great. Get the PB to fix it.

Yeah. In summer we have a lot of evap so definitely need the auto leveler. I am going to submit a warranty claim, but I want to make sure I am using the auto leveler correctly. The directions say every revolution counter clockwise raises the water 1/4”. I feel I need to raise it at least an inch. I turned it all the way around a couple of times so far and no change to water level (rising anyway). All I need to do is turn it correct? Not press down on the float too.? I will talk a video of the autofill paralevel so you can see what I mean.

None of us have a ParaLevel. We can read the same manual you can.

Just turning mine like your are doing adjusts the level. If you push the float down you should just water flowing. There is a C shape piece at the top that controls the actual switch.

Have your verified the source to your auto fill hasn't been turned off?

I am not sure what the C shaped thing is. The black thing in the photo? IMG_8659.jpegI think the water source is turned on. It is parallel to the pipe

I emailed pool builder for warranty claim. I suspect before week is out my skimmer will be empty again due to low water level and I will have to fill with hose again.

Nothing as gone right with this pool.

I have the paralevel. Turn it counter clockwise to raise up the level of the pool. Check to make sure the float moves freely up and down.

When you push down on the float, can you hear water running in the bucket the paralevel float is in? If not I venture a guess the lines feeding the paralevel are clogged. Last check would be to remove the paralevel float by pushing firmly down on the center (black portion of the float) and turning it to the left to pull it out with the water off. Check the bottom of the bucket the float is in to see if any cement is at the bottom then turn the water back on to see of it flows without the float installed.
