Shot gunite today.

Amazing how much concrete is actually used. Also impressive how they shape the walls/columns. It's like building a giant sandcastle.

One slight change was removing a step that was in the hot tub. Looked funny having a giant step on the entry.

So far so good.

No issues at all and appears to be ahead of schedule.

Next is delivery of coping / tile. Also will be pouring foundation for the columns and fireplace. Giggity...

Plan to move the 2 trees today and start framing the patio cover. Also hope to progress on the tiling.

It actually is very close to the english walnut travertine and Noce stacked stone when it's all wet.

Well now that the weather is good the crew got to work...

They also got some tile work done. I think it looks really awesome and we're very excited about the color selection. During the rain yesterday we got to see everything wet and the colors blended perfectly. We did not want to much contrast between all the stones so it turned out exactly what we were looking for.

The spa spill over turned out nice as well.

And Finally...they started the framing for the cover. Man, this thing is HUGE! 16x24. 2x16's on the sides and laminated beams for the 24' span. I'm hoping they put that thin in tomorrow when they get enough people to lift it.

large gas fireplace with bench seating, TV mounted above it. Will have the stained tongue and groove ceiling, lights, etc.

Floor will be the same travertine as the coping/rest of pool. Should allow for seamless transition to the pool.
