Swg FC from 4 to 14 in a day and a half

Hi all,
Would appreciate some suggestions. I'm new to SWG and we just turned it on for the first time about 36 hrs ago. All parameters are/were in range. I run my pump 24/7 @ 1200 rpm and had set the SWG for 50%. Wow! FC rose from 4 to 14 points in a day and a half and the pH rose up from 7.8 to 8.1. I'm going to lower the percentage to the lowest (25%) and I added 16 oz. 31.45% muriatic acid.
 
Its often experienced that Circupool inflates their production #s and all, but they cliam your core 35 will make 16 ppm per 24 hours for you. It's good and oversized and requires little runtime which will extend its lifespan.

Go to the upper left menu in poolmath and select effects of adding. Select swg, your model and calculate for FC.

Mess with various combos of % and/or time to see the output. During the peak season 4 or 5 ppm per day is all you'll need.

Should I mess with rpm's at all? Does rpm effect FC output?
 
RPM does not effect FC production as long as the RPM is high enough to satisfy the flow switch of the SWCG.

The swg needs flow or a timer.

You can run 25% for a day and then turn the pump/swg off for as long as it takes the FC to drift down.

Or unplug just the swg while the FC drifts down.

Unfamiliar with your model exactly but as was said, SWG needs flow to activate. No flow, no SWG.

My setup is older, and I may need to adjust my routine as I’m about to replace my cell, but my Hayward T-15 is oversized for my pool. That way I can run it on a lower output. I have my pup run 2 hours in the morning to juice up the FC, 1 hour at lunch, and then 1 hour at dinner time. I like this timing for debris management as well. I find that I generally run the SWG at 35%-40% of its output with these timings and if I need more or less FC (usually less unless it’s roasting hot) then I will adjust the SWG from there.
