It’s probably time to replace them. Going on 10 years, at least. And I’m getting way more Fine dirt settlement in my pool. Builder said if it’s a hole in the filter, it would be more near returns, but mine is evenly distributed dirt on floor, everywhere.
I looked online, and there is a huge disparaging price difference online for the big boys I use. But my pool is tiny and rarely have to backwash. Could I get away with 48s? I don’t know if spending sub $200 to replace them all vs almost $700 for Pentair name brand is a good idea.

Anyone with insights on this topic? I need to do the annual filter cleaning soon, was considering whole new set of grids.
