Question about cartridge filter for Above Ground pool

I got a really good deal on a Hayward W3C1200. It is a 120Sq ft cartridge filter. 120 Sq.Ft. Star-Clear Plus Filter

Is there any reason why I couldn't use this for my 21' Above ground pool? I know it is designed for an in ground pool, with a flow rate of 120gpm. Also, do I need to get a pool pump that will match the flow rate? I have 115V available.

What model pool pump do you have?

Will your equipment be piped with solid PVC pipe?

I have not purchased the pump yet. I am open to suggestions. I plan on hard piping with either schedule 40 PVC or flex PVC.

Any of these pumps would work for you.

Schedule 40 PVC pipe will handle the pressures better then flex hose.
