Hey everyone!!!...I have a Hayward H200 pool heater. This year I went to turn on and everything lights up and starts but it doesn't ignite and shuts down with "IF" code. Here's what I've done....
1. Removed igniter and tested. It glowed red hot.
2. Open gas line and clear air and dump trap, all clean.
3. Removed and cleaned all orifices
4. Blew out manifold pipe.
5. Tested gas valve and magnets fire and lift valve
6. Replaced motherboard, everything worked.

After all this still won't fire up. Anyone have any ideas what I could be?

Appreciate any help!!!!

Does it ever fire and not stay lit? Did you clean the flame-sense rod?
Do you hear the main valve open after a few seconds of the igniter glowing? Do you see the igniter glow while it is in place?
Is the main valve in the "ON" position? Is the external gas cock open? You'd be surprised how many heater calls I get that have just that situation, one, the other, both in off/closed position.

Does it ever fire and not stay lit?....no fan turns on, igniter warms up, then valve clicks open, then tries to light then shuts off

Did you clean the flame-sense rod?...cleaned and lightly sanded

Do you hear the main valve open after a few seconds of the igniter glowing?...yes, it glows then main valve magnet engages and opens.

Do you see the igniter glow while it is in place?...took it out and placed in safe spot the turned on heater. It quickly heats up and glows red.

Is the main valve in the "ON" position?...yes

Is the external gas cock open?...yes

Appreciate the response, hopefully you see something here I don't....thank you!

Here's a thing....when I opened up the fire chamber there was a mouse nest. It seems she used some sort of insulation. Could a mouse cause any damage to the inside? When the fan turns on I can feel the fan on the top so it doesn't seem fire chambers are blocked. There is no wire damage and as i said i replaced the board and check all wires and they looked good. Just thought I'd add that piece if information.

I have a plumber friend coming over today with a monometer. I want to check gas pressure. Here's a question....the 2 hex bolts allow testing, I believe. So is the top hex, the line pressure and the bottom hex is the regulated pressure? I assuming we check the top for pressure coming in and the bottom for the pressure actually going to burners, which I believe is 2".
