New never used but when trying to initiate AGS company sent me a new in December
I installed an in ground pool with a heater at the end of last season the heater started a few times but never stayed on it is a Mastertemp 125 and it kept giving me an error message PS AGS etc and finally the AGS was the ongoing issue. The pool supplier sent me a replacement switch over the winter and I finally filled the pool. Above skimmers and cranked it up after it was clean installed the part and now still AGS. Further more Pentair and Royal pools could not tell me if the AGS or the High Limit switch is on top or bottom because I felt they were in the wrong spots since I received the unit .Can you explain this in a few more sentences ?
What did you just install?
Read this recent thread on the same AGS error on a new heater install..

Post pics of your manifold.
I am not sure the location of the AGS or HLS matters.
Have you followed the wires from the sensors to see where they are connected on the board?
According to the manual, the AGS should be the lower sensor on the right side of the manifold (red/pink wires). If the heater has never fired, the AGS would not trip as it opens on heat (140 degrees F). Check that there is no break or rodent damage to the wiring. Check the continuity of the switch itself with an ohm meter. This is my pic of the pentair mastertemp 125 with ongoing issue of err AGS . It has never even had warm air coming out exhaust
