Thoughts or suggestions on why the vacuum skips this section of the pool all the time? Do I need to adjust hose?

+ 1 on the weights, My pool is 8/9 ft. in the deep end and two weight's work well for me, you also may want to try adding another section on hose and see how that works for you.
Thanks! I actually removed a section of hose to see if it would help.. but basically same result.

I had the AG version of this and it was very susceptible to the return pressure. Having a stream of water no matter how little made the EZ Vac veer off course. The EZ vac had 1 weight on it that was mounted onto the 2nd link of hosing to make the hose near it point down. The IG version may be different.

Thanks all for the replies. I was able to adjust the weight and get the areas the vacuum wasn’t reaching before. That said, I have a new issue that recently started once I added more water to the pool. The vacuum gets stuck in the same position and won’t move.. just sits in the same place a “pulses”. Thoughts on how to fix the vacuum getting stuck constantly? Do I need to adjust anything?

Two Or three things things come to mind you may want to check.

1. My krawler came with a flow gauge and indicates a MIN and Max suction level of operation. Do you have one? And, In my pool the MIN level works just the way I like it.
2. You can play with controlling valve some more If you don't have the gauge
3. Make sure the flapper is moving freely in the body and is clear of debris.20230508_161015 (1).jpg

Thanks! I do not think I have the flow gauge. The flapper is moving freely. I will take a look at the adjustment knob tomorrow.. appreciate it!

I was wondering if it something to do with the flow of my pumps and the returns but sounds like it might just be a simple adjustment. Weird how it was working fine until adding 3” of water to bring the water level up.

Do you have a VS pool pump? if so you probably need to run 2200 to 2700 rms for your cleaner to run correctly.

Also you should fill out your signature and list all pool equipment. Go to the drop down where your login aviator is. It will help all viewers with any future questions you may have.

Since I am working off of memory on the AG version which may be totally different I could be totally off base ... The swinging of the pendulum has to be kind of forceful in order for the device to work. if the suction is not enough the pendulum will swing freely but won't develop any momentum. I was able to tell by the clicking sound if it had enough suction to work. Is it possible with the water higher that the weight is not forming a curve in the hose? I think that weight leads the device around and needs that curve. Did an eyeball move? In the AG version just a slight pressure will make it turn, it actually came with a down firing eyeball to put in the return but I never used that. I will assume it is not getting stuck on anything, ours would sometimes get stuck behind the pool stairs.

Other than it sucking up some big leaves and the pendulum not swinging, suction being too low from the filter or getting stuck behind the steps I never had an issue with it in the 20 years I used it.

Thanks! I was able to find the flow gauge. (Apparently it was in the box of pool parts from previous owner). I will hook it up to the hose tomorrow to see what it says.

Single speed pump. Worked fine until I added water to pool.
