I hate cottonwood trees

I have not one, but two cottonwood trees in my yard. I want them down, but before that can happen any suggestions for trying to keep my pool clean? I have hair nets in the skimmer I clean the pool several times everyday and I feel like it's a never ending battle against the trees. My yard is so bad it looks like it snowed

I have one huge tree. Over 150’’ tall. Add water to the cotton stuff and it’s like concrete. I thought I would break the skimmer basket getting it out it had that much stuck In there. Clean it daily. Last 2 weeks tree buds got every where in the pool. Now it’s been cotton things in the pool. I know how you feel.

For us it is silver maple seeds. Tons and tons in our skimmer and Little seedlings coming up through our lawn and all our gardens. Was it the cold winter??

Tons of cottonwoods around here. I found a lot of blue gunk in my pump filter. Weird how cotton turns into a "gummy" substance inside of your pool.
