The mythical finish: Stonescapes Aqua White with Puerto Rico blend "Touch of Glass"

Hi everyone,

It seems this mini pebble finish is a rare bird, indeed - both on the forum and in the field. Has anyone put this beauty in and do you love it? Do tell! We have a sample (that we lovingly view in a white bowl filled with water) that we are quite taken with but would like to hear about the real deal. Is it enchantingly turquoise? Or is it sky blue? Or does it vary between the two depending on light and weather? Please illuminate this for us if you are able!

Color will vary with depth, surrounding reflections, sun, shade, you name it. Pick one that looks good in bright sun. The rest of the time won't matter if you're not swimming.

Yes, Big, all important factors. Main thing I'm wanting to know is if this finish comes off turquoise or sky blue most of the time - an important distinction. We've got a wide open southern exposure under endlessly sunny skies, so...

We were able to see the Aqua White Stonescapes with both the Puerto Rico blend and abalone shells. It is everything we hoped it would be - exactly the right shade of turquoise verging on teal blue. Saw it in bright sun, as well as under cloud cover (Mother Nature gave us both in the same visit). We have chosen our pool finish!

Congrats! Did you take any pictures when you visited by chance? If so please post! [emoji1]

How does this finish look in the shade? I'm still trying to decide on a pool finish but our pool gets shade about 50-60% of the day hence my question.

I've been so frustrated with pool finishes looking different on every screen that I didn't see a point in photographing the pool in Aqua White, as I knew my images wouldn't match what my eyes were seeing. But I can tell you it was amazing and I can't wait for this finish to go on my pool (which I will photograph and share)!

HitchHiker,

Didn't get to see the pool in the shade, only under cloud cover. Under cloud cover it does come off less turquoise, more a cooler, sky blue. I wore a shirt that is the exact color we're after, and the water in the sun matched it perfectly! I was astonished. We need look no further. Yes!

Great thread! We too are looking at this color. The confusing thing to me is what the heck is the diffference between touch of glass and puerto rico blend? Is it just size of the glass beads?

what did you choose? I am thinking of doing the same color combination. Would love to see your photos.

It seems people are using Puerto Rico Blend and Touch of Glass as the same thing. They are different. Puerto Rico blend is the addition of iridescent glass beads and touch of glass is the addition of colored beads. For example if you wanted Aqua Blue Touch of Glass, you would have blue glass beads added, if you wanted salt and pepper touch of glass, you would have black glass beads added. Puerto Rico blend is just adding iridescent beads, (no particular color) Hope that helps.

Hi there! Are you able to show a picture of the finished product? We are choosing our pool finish and I am looking into the Aqua White Puerto Rico Blend with abalone. I am noticing, you can choose the amount of bags. Do you know how many bags of Puerto Rico and how many of abalone? Thank you!
