Live in South Louisiana. Pool fill water has pH - 8.0, TA - 120 and CH - 20.

Feel as though having to add lots of muriatic acid given my SWG as well as evaporation with our fill water living in the south. Also, have to add calcium chloride a few times a year to keep levels around 350.

Any tips besides just continuing doing what I’m doing. I keep pH around 7.8 and TA around 60-70 with twice weekly muriatic acid but using around 32-36 oz a week.

Thanks.

When you add that fill water due to evaporation, it will push the pH higher, requiring acid. Nothing you can do about that.

I'm have a similar situation (fill water TA 330). In the summer, you'll require MA additions at least weekly. I try to harvest as much rainwater as possible to avoid increasing the TA of my water.
