I live in Iowa, just uncovered my 15000 gallon pool and it's green. I put in 6 bags of shock over 3 days and now it's a milky cloudy greenish color. Have filtered for 3 days straight, stopped to see if it would fall to pool floor but no luck. It's a saltwater system but we had to fill it first so haven't started the salt. Readings from test trips show between 6.8 and 7 2 pH, 3ppm of free chlorine and 80 ppm alkalinity. I just bought liquid pool shock and wondered if I need to continue to shock it or get something else. Thanks

Welcome to the forum!
You need to follow the SLAM Process. To do that, you need a proper test kit. I suggest the TF-100/Pro or Taylor K2006C. A proper test kit is needed to get the accurate water chemistry results needed to follow the TFP protocols.

While you are waiting on your test kit, add 5 ppm FC worth of liquid chlorine / plain bleach to your pool each evening with the pump running. This will replenish the FC lost each day to the sun and also inhibit any algae in the water from growing further.
I suggest you read through Pool Care Basics - Trouble Free Pool and even look at a few of our videos TFP-TV - Trouble Free Pool
