OMG that is a heck of a drop. But just to clear up any confusion, my CYA isn’t 30pmm, just that’s the lowest number on the tube. I can easily see the dot at 30ppm so it could be at 20ppm or less I guess. Tomorrow night I’ll add another 13ppm or maybe more and see where that bring me too.

But wouldn’t my CC level be greater than 1ppm?

I had a chlorine test result that confused me this morning. My OCLT was 5ppm this morning. First time since I starting testing that it was over 1ppm. Most days it was zero. However, the CC this morning was was still less than 1ppm. Without sun how could my FC drop so much without CC being present?

That’s exactly what I realized after my last post, that I could replace now. When I do turn it with the wrench , the fitting on the outside of the pool wall does move too, so I have to hold it while I turn the inside fitting.

That was me getting those marks on the ring trying to loosen with a wrench. LOL. Couldn’t budge it without using the wrench. Definitely think best to replace, but I’ll wait until after the season when I drain some of the water out. Thanks!
