TA at 90 - too high?

Hi everyone, I recently added CYA to get my level up to 60 (it was 0.... pool was built and filled last fall but not used till now). pH was 7.8 before starting the addition now it's 7.2, which makes sense. However my TA went up from 80 to 90 (the drop test is subjective though because it...

    Adding CYA to SWG pool

Thanks for explaining the sock method. This might be a REALLY stupid question but does it have to be a white sock? I'm more of a colored sock kinda guy lol

    Adding CYA to SWG pool

Hi all, End of last year I got an inground pool with a SWG installed. Previously I had an above ground pool so I'm familiar with the care, but I'm unsure of how much CYA I need for an SWG pool. Right now I have the SWG at 50% and my FC goes between 2.5 and 3.0. I have no CYA in the pool...

Maintenance needed for salt water pool?

I ended up getting the Taylor 2006-c cuz it’s what I already had and it was on sale on Amazon. Plus it’s one of the recommended kits in here. I also got the Taylor salt test kit.

Maintenance needed for salt water pool?

Thank you for the advise! I know the basics but will refresh myself. I was under the impression that a salt water pool is maintained differently than a chlorine pool but seems I was mistaken. Any recommendations in a complete kit?

Maintenance needed for salt water pool?

Ok here are my numbers FC 1.0 (I had the solar cover off most of the day) Ph 7.2 TA 70 Calcium hardness - about 100 but I found this test difficult to read CYA - 0 (cuz I haven’t added any) So if calcium hardness doesn’t really matter I guess I just need a little stabilizer right?

Maintenance needed for salt water pool?

Hello everyone, At the end of last year we had an in ground pool installed with a salt water filter. Previously we had an above ground chlorine pool so I’m familiar with the basics. However with the salt water pool I’m getting conflicting information rom different sources so I am trying to...

Intex Pool - support posts leaning

Yeah I think that’s the plan. As far as I can tel it’s just sitting in ground. I only want this pool to last one more year so I really don’t want to drain and Re level if I don’t have to. I’ll just keep an eye on it and lol for any significant changes.

Intex Pool - support posts leaning

Yeah that’s what I was trying to do - the biggest difference in water level is about 2.5 inches when I measure like you said

Also as requested here are pics of just about every angle I can think of :) the side by the open grate fence is the side where the water level is highest

Intex Pool - support posts leaning

Hi all - original poster here :) Thanks for all the info. One further question. After uncovering the pool and filling it back up, the below picture shows how the water level differs. The picture shows the biggest difference. Now, the water level has always been like this, since I’ve moved...

Intex Pool - support posts leaning

Do you mean trying to fix it could make it worse? I get that - I thought that too. Everything I read online about tolerance said it was fine, and there are no obvious bulges in the liner or anything to indicate a serious problem. I am the type of person to make mountains out of molehills :) I...

How else would you re-plumb them? By pounding them I meant at the foot of the leg, trying to straighten them out

Intex Pool - support posts leaning

Hi all, I have a 22 foot diameter intex pool. It was installed by the previous owners of my house. We moved in here in the fall of 2018. I noticed recently (within the last month) that a few of the post are not straight. See attached pic. A rough measure has them about 5 degrees off plumb...

Loosing pressure with Intex skimmer basket attached

So I unhooked everything and only screwed on the plastic adapter for the skimmer basket hose. With that on, I have the issue. So that tells me that it's not getting a good seal when I screw it onto the inlet. I really don't want to replace the inlet because that means I have to drain about 18...
