rust screw inside Jacuzzi sand filter valve

Hello,
My Jaccuzi sand filter is leaking water from the waste port when I set it to whirlpool, so I opened it and noticed the screws on the valve have rusted badly and one of the three even broke off.

Is this normal? can I replace it or I'll have to buy a new one?

Welcome to TFP!

Replacing the screws is certainly possible. But removing a broken one in a timely manner might be a challenge. My first thought is to remove the screws you can and then see if you can get Vise Grips on the broken one.
