Bonding fiberglass pool with an autocover.

Does anyone have experience with bonding autocovers? Types of lay in or mechanical lugs used to bond the autocover tracks and brackets from the autocover box to the pool. I assumed they would need to be rated for direct burial and possibly dual use (copper and aluminum) since the rails are made from aluminum? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

See if this thread helps you...

I would think the tracks, brackets, and rails would all be electrically connected together and it would all need a connection to the pool bonding grid at one point.

Thank you. Spent late last night sifting through the forum and got some really good info. Make sure split bolts you use are for direct burial. Use mechanical lugs that have the little ridges on the bottom so they bite into the autocover track. Only one bracket that holds the autocover box to the pool needs bonded because they are all connected together by self drilling screws into a metal support bar inside of the box. I didn’t hear anything about 2 different types of metal being and issue so any mechanical lug was ok to use. Passed my inspection!
