Does the gasket have pre-drilled holes?

The first thing I would do is see if anyone around you had a piece of the liner for you to feel and look at and from there. I think that will answer any concerns.

I am with you! Get that pool plastered to enjoy it. The landscaping can wait! In fact it will be oh so much better to work on the landscaping then jump in the pool!! If you have your pool water balanced and you get the dirt out right away then it is no biggie!

Have you tried an "ease out" to get the parts of the screws out?

I don't really have any real life experience. I am going on my gut mostly. I worry about the same thing you mention of it maybe thinner but don't really think it would be but something to think about. I also worry, like you do on it being harder to sweep and such. Have you seen any in real life?

6 of one and half a dozen of another............that to say there are pluses and minuses of each one. The steps and shelf will get the most "abuse" as they will be walked on and used the most so the embossed surface has to be pretty sturdy.

Hi and welcome to TFP! I have an idea! How about having BOTH of them at that end of the pool? Push the spa away from the house and put the shelf beside it. SO many good reasons to do this: -Best of both worlds by having them both there for the reasons you stated above. -I worry about the bench...

I think the weather has used it's powers up with what it threw at Tallahassee Friday, May 10! We had 3 twisters with 2 of them right on top of each other coming together right over downtown and ending 1/4 mile North of us!!! SO Florida is due a break as far as weather goes. You are SO close...

We do have a residential one about that size that we helped build. I think it was in TX also. It is an awesome pool and yard. I will see if I can find it.
