Going to use my basic Pentair inline feeder when I am gone for a week. How many 3 “ tabs and what setting (1-5)? Normally have used BBB method. Thanks

Today: got rid of the green but pool is still so cloudy,can't see drain. Gonna run pump overnight and check in morning. Backwash is clear water.

OK, so came home to a green,cloudy pool.Ph at 7.5,TA at 110, FC at 7.5, CYA at 60.What does it mean on the pool calculator when it says the SLAM level is outside of recommended range? For example it says to add 4+ gallons of bleach for a SLAM level of 28. Does the warning apply to normal target...

As an aside why hasn’t anyone come up with a CYA neutralizer? Thanks for all the replies.

Does it make sense to add bleach at night so sun doesn’t affect it? What about the idea of adding 5 gallons of bleach each day for 2-3 days?

Had water tested at 3 pool stores; one was 65, one was 67, and one was 70.

Thanks; have to be out of town for a week; have no one to help so I didn’t know which would be better, the multi jug SLAM for a few days or turn the feeder back on, or leave it off and see what happens. Pump runs 9 hours/day.

Is there an average for days to SLAM given my situation?

How would I measure 5ppm without accurate test kit? Could I just dump 2 jugs in daily for 2-3 days?

Thank you. 2 jugs of 10% should get me close to target but when to stop? Have only basic chlorine and ph tests.

Newb here. 20000 gallon inground vinyl liner Pool slightly cloudy and TC and FC out of balance. FC is 6 TC is 9 Ph is 7.4 TA is 125 CYA is 65 Have had chlorine tab feeder off for 3 days. What do I need to do as first step?
