Hi, everyone! Happy Sunday!
First year owner here, about to experience winter in TX.
Any suggestion on how to maintain during winter?
Such as:
What's the best way to insulate the pipes and pump?
What's the pump setting you recommend, so the water won't freeze?
How about the filter system, and the heater? Shall I cover them?
Should I run heater (gas), and keep it on certain temp, so it's not frozen?

Thanks so much!!!

Your zip code indicates Arlington TX. It would help if you can update your signature by going to Settings then to Signature to include your make and model of equipment, etc. Do you have automation? Do you have water features?

If you have automation, there will be a setting for freeze protection where you can set your pump to turn on when air temperature reaches a specific point. Most are set at 38 deg F. If you have a separate pump for water features, you may need to set that separately.

so long as you can maintain power, the pump running while it is in freezing temperatures should be fine. You can cover your whole pad with a tarp if you wish but I would only do that if you expect freezing temperatures for several days straight.

Post some pictures of your equipment pad which may help indicate some other measures to consider.

You should read your manual for how to remove drain plugs from pump, filter and heater should you lose power. This will remove all water from the pipes above ground.
